Terms of use

Effective October 28, 2026

These terms are between you and Strong & Courageous Holdings LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company (“we”, “us”), which offers Bible in Your Day. You can reach us at [email protected]. By using the app you agree to these terms. We may update them, and the effective date above shows the current version.

Bible in Your Day is licensed under Apple’s standard licensed application end-user license agreement. These terms add to that agreement for the features described below.

Free use and Plus

Bible reading, search, notes, highlights, Bible Chat’s reviewed answers (after you sign in), and one Themes lesson a day are free. The Start here course is always free. Free readers may see ads.

Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks every Themes lesson instead of one a day, removes ads, and backs up your saved Bible Chat history to your account. It renews monthly or yearly, matching the plan you choose. The US reference prices are $2.99 per month and $19.99 per year; your localized price and billing terms are shown by the App Store before purchase. Payment and renewal are handled by Apple. Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.

Existing saved chats stay on your device, and remain readable, exportable and deletable, after Plus ends. Restoring a purchase restores Plus access; sign in to your account to get backed-up chats on a new device. Unsynchronized changes may exist only on the original device. Account deletion removes associated live cloud records, with daily server backups expiring within seven days. Device backups and exported copies are controlled by you.

Bible Chat

Bible Chat finds the reviewed answer closest to your question and shows it one passage at a time. The answers were written, checked and reviewed before the app was released; they were not written for you in the moment, and no AI model writes replies while you use the app. They can still be wrong, incomplete or a poor fit for your situation. Read the cited Scripture in its context.

Bible Chat is not a pastor, chaplain, counselor, therapist, doctor, lawyer or financial adviser. Its answers are not pastoral, spiritual, medical, mental-health, legal, financial or crisis advice, and they do not replace your local church or pastor or a qualified professional. Do not rely on an answer as the only basis for any decision about your health, safety, legal matters, money, relationships or faith.

Do not use Bible Chat in an emergency. If you or someone else may be in danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. Bible Chat cannot provide crisis care. See our safety page.

Bible Chat needs a sign-in with Apple or Google. We may change, pause or remove features at any time, including to address safety concerns.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the app to:

Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use Bible in Your Day. If you are under 18, use the app and buy Plus only with a parent or guardian’s permission. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Third-party components

Gemma. Bible Chat uses EmbeddingGemma, a model from Google that runs on your device to match your question to reviewed topics. Gemma is provided under and subject to the Gemma Terms of Use. The use restrictions in the Gemma Prohibited Use Policy are part of these terms: you agree not to use the app, or the Gemma model inside it, in any way those restrictions forbid, and not to let anyone else do so. If you pass the Gemma model on to anyone, you must give them the Gemma Terms of Use and tell them about these restrictions. A copy of the Gemma Terms of Use and the Prohibited Use Policy is in the app under Settings → About → Sources & licenses.

Other software. The app includes open-source libraries, such as Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Mobile Ads, MediaPipe, GRDB and ZIPFoundation, under their own licenses.

Content licenses

Scripture, study materials, sound recordings and third-party data retain their respective licenses. Discover’s topical data and passage references are adapted from OpenBible.info’s Topical Bible under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. Attribution and changes are described in Settings → About → Sources & licenses. Translation licenses are shown with each translation in Translations. The application license does not limit rights granted under these content licenses.

Advertising

Free readers may see clearly labeled sponsored cards in Bible Chat. Ad availability is not guaranteed, and Plus removes ads.

Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, the app and Bible Chat’s answers are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any promise that they are accurate, complete, suitable for your situation, always available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for decisions you make or actions you take because of an answer.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, that come from your use of the app. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the greater of what you paid for Plus in the 12 months before the claim and $50.

Nothing in these terms limits any right or liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you, including liability for fraud, for willful misconduct, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence where the law does not allow it to be limited. Some states do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. A dispute about these terms or the app will be decided in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you and we agree to those courts’ jurisdiction. This does not take away any right you have under the law of your state that cannot be waived by contract.
